Mary and Dave |
3 phrases come to mind for this couple... "Down to Earth", "Simple", and "In Love". Mary's one request for the engagement shoot was that she "Had to go take photos by the Lavender!" I'm glad she suggested it. We walked and talked around the winery grounds finding many little spots to stop in and take a quick pic. They were a laid-back and easy pair to work with! |
Michelle and Chad |
Who knew you could find a Castle in the wine country!?!? Well, we found it! This young couple and I had a great time walking around and finding the little nooks and crannies to take some awesome photos in. We also encountered some areas of gorgeous texture. Drop in a comment and let me know what you think! |
Crystal and Mitch |
This outdoor-loving couple and I blazed a trail through Helen Putnam Regional Park and had a great time! The sun was getting low and causing the grassland to glow a golden yellow color. I couldn't help keeping that firey yellow theme throughout their shoot! |
Brittany and Phillip |
This fun couple contacted me about their engagment shoot through one of my good friends. They wanted to do something "fun" with their Vespa. I figured what better way then to go out in the middle of nowhere in Rohnert Park and let loose at sunset. I Love the results!!! |
Amanda and Matt |
Amanda and Matt were bold enough to risk massive wind and chilly San Francisco bay temperatures to make this photoshoot happen! First we went up the hill overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge... but after a few moments, it was apparent that we could not sustain in the chilly locale. Next, we went down to the docks located at the base of the GG bridge. It was not as windy but the salt spray from the ocean was pretty cold. Great couple to work with! I had fun and they were pretty darn natural in front of the camera. |
Keely and Nick |
Sometimes photoshoots don't go exactly as planned. Keely and Nick wanted to go and do their engagement shoot out at Bodega Bay. When we got there, mother nature had another idea... it was very cold and windy. Scratching that idea, we decided to find some other locations inland. On our way back to Santa Rosa, we stopped in Downtown Sebastopol and snapped some shots in the little town center. It was a quaint little urban environment with a good mix of downtown shops, grass, and trees. We then went to Julliard Park in Santa Rosa to finish off the shoot. They were a great couple to work with and they were proof that everything does turn out in the end. |
Jennilyn and Joe |
Jennilynn and Joe are awesome people. They were up for wandering around Sonoma State and looking around for little nooks and crannies that we could shoot from. We started around the pond area and then moved to one of the building's quad area. J & J sprung into action and immediately hopped up into a tree. Post-tree shooting occurred in the Library. We tried to be quiet but it was difficult because they were having such a good time! I applaud them for their creativity and willingness to get out there and try new things. |
Katie and Jared |
I met up with Katie and Jared at the Santa Rosa Junior College along with their dog "Bronco". We had a great time walking around and finding all of the neat areas and corners that the JC had to offer. The brick buildings really set the tone for the images and it provided us with a great background. Bronco was also very excited to be in the pictures too. |
Kelly and Fil |
This couple was definitely comfortable in front of the camera. Half of the time I would say "ok... turn, look at each other and K..." and they would already be locking lips. We were able to do the engagement shoot at the same location as their wedding, the Bennett Valley Golf Course. The golf course is a wonderful hidden gem of Santa Rosa and we are looking forward to Kelly and Fil's wedding out there! |
Josee and Dan |
This couple was great to work with! Dan's hobby happens to be photography and Josee is use to being his model. They had a great time enacting a photoshoot and Josee really got into it! The handcuffs came from Dan's profession so we latched them together and threw away the key! oops. |
Elaine and Derek |
Elaine and Derek picked this particular spot, on the top of the lookout point, because this is where Derek proposed. Luckly, it was fairly warm and nice out when we came out to do the engagement shoot. We had a great time at this awesome overlook location with the lake as our background. |
Kate and Matt |
Kate and Matt took us out to their family's property out in Cazadero. We weren't sure about the weather since it had been raining on and off that week but we lucked out. The fog rolled in as we shot but we mostly stayed dry. Oh yeah, 4 wheelin' around the back part of the property was fun too! |
